Trishann Couvillion

Contributing Photo EditorTrishann’s photojournalistic approach lends itself perfectly to capturing people in natural interaction. She loves working in an unobtrusive style to allow for images that are full of life and wonderful energy, capturing the essence of what people are all about. She has documented people photographically in real-life situations for over 18 years and became a professional photographer after earning her BFA in Photojournalism and Documentary Photography in 2002.

Prior to her current role she worked full-time as a medical photographer for retina surgeons in San Francisco. She enjoyed the science aspect combined with photography and although her focus has shifted to more traditional portraits, she still shoots medical photography for a Seattle hospital when they need her.

Now Trishann specializes in Seattle corporate and business event photography, children’s photography, engagement photography, wedding photography, portraiture, headshots and other people-related photography. When she isn’t working, Trishann likes to travel—a lot! Her photographic documentary on blues music has led her to cities across the country known for their vibrant blues scene. She also practices Bikram ‘hot’ Yoga, is learning Blues guitar and walks her two Yorkies all over Seattle on Sundays.

Daniel DeWaard

Contributing Photo EditorIt’s been said that anyone who meets Daniel has a friend for life. This entrepreneur is always hatching new ideas and finding new challenges. So it’s fitting he named his photography business, Hatch Photography. Hatch Photography takes the unique perspective of capturing the candid moments created by life and carefully processing those selected images to become unique to the client. Daniel has always had a passion for design and marketing, which greatly influences his photography. He specializes in portrait photography, including but not limited to maternity, new born, high school graduation and families.

He also takes customer service to a new level and provides an amazing amount of attention to detail that is personalized to fit the needs of a client. He attributes his success to parents who instilled a work ethic in all their children at an early age. Instead of being allowed to watch cartoons on Saturday mornings, he and his siblings were required to help with household chores and yard work. And because he grew up in the country on 40 acres, there was plenty of work to be done.

When Daniel isn’t behind the camera, he enjoys spending time with new bride Tracy, family, friends and dining out. While he and Tracy enjoy being newlyweds and look forward to starting a family, they’re currently practicing their parenting skills on their cat, Benzy.
