Happy hour for your hair: Make a cocktail with your products

By | April 7, 2012 | Style & Beauty

Sometimes the styling products you buy have too strong of a hold. Other times, they do not offer enough. For example, if you have curly hair and the styling product you use is too strong, you will get a hard crisp curl that doesn’t move. The best way to deal with a strong product is to make a ‘cocktail’ with your gel by adding a small amount of product that contains silicone. It will soften the gel and give you a soft flexible curl. If your volumizing product doesn’t give you enough hold, then mix up a cocktail that includes a dab of strong holding gel to give that little extra volume. A little dab here and there creates a custom product specifically for your hair type. Remember, just little dab will do until you test it out and find out its limit. After all, you don’t want to get picked up by the fashion police!
