Skiing in family-friendly Beaver Creek, CO

It’s no secret that I  love to ski. Each year we travel to many different states to find the perfect filming location for our Sony sponsored shows. This year we chose Beaver Creek, Colorado for spring break because of its family-friendly resort as well as its ski slopes. The heart of the resort, Beaver Creek Village is full of quaint shops, art galleries, bars and restaurants, all conveniently linked by heated walkways and escalators. All accommodations are ski-in by means of connecting trails and skier bridges. The resort provided the perfect agenda for us to ensure that the kids experienced all the mountain had to offer – and boy did they LOVE our trip.

No vacation is complete, of course with out my stash of Sony cameras and handycams. I’m so glad I brought the Sony cyber-shot TX20. This camera is perfect for your little ones to use too. It’s not only waterproof and freeze proof but you can drop it and no harm, no foul. You know the inevitable drop is bound to happen!

The Osprey at Beaver Creek offers an unforgettable family vacation by creating a modern, luxury hotel experience unlike any other you’ll find in Colorado. They gave us a 4-day, complimentary stay which delighted the kids and me. The food at he hotel was so good, especially their fried asparagus! We went tubing, ice skating, and shopping for next year’s ski wear in the village. With a lift literally right outside our front door, it was so easy to get the kids off to ski school and for mama on the slopes. Riding up in the CAT snow plow at NIGHT to Beano’s Cabin was truly the highlight. It was so fun to truck up the mountain in that big ‘ol machine on the snow at night!

The staff at Vail Resorts were so accommodating and wonderful. With elegant amenities, exceptional service, and ski in – ski out lifts, we’ll definitely come back again!

Where do you and your family like to ski?
